Main Biography
Mr. Mills’ practice is focused on environmental and land use law, including: representation of individuals, businesses and lenders concerning handling, treatment, disposal of hazardous substances, hazardous wastes and petroleum products; advice to sellers, buyers and lenders regarding environmental concerns in real estate transactions, including lender liability associated with special assets and foreclosure matters; environmental permitting including marina and docks, dredge and fill, wetlands and wetland mitigation banks; and, enforcement and litigation, including administrative proceedings, land use litigation and Bert J. Harris Private Property Protection Act litigation.
Previous Professional Experience
Prior to entering law school, Mr. Mills spent four years as an environmental consultant specializing in site remediation, risk-based corrective action, and human health risk assessment at CERCLA, RCRA, and state-regulated sites throughout the eastern United States and the gulf coast.
